Harish and Thabitha cleared the hurdles in style to win the Gold Medal in 110 and 100m hurdles respectively. Both of them displayed such a dominant performance to win best athlete title in U18 categories for both genders.

Balajeeva won the gold medal in U14 Boy’s Long Jump event. He displayed great jumping skills to emerge as the best athlete in his category. Parthasarathi put up a great show to get the gold medal in the same event at U16 category. He emerged as the best athlete in his category by leaping a huge distance and become the second long jumper from TamilNadu to do this in South Zone Competition.

Tamil Nadu won 6 out of the 8 team championship available at this Zonal event. Athletes from Tamil Nadu gave such a strong performance across the categories to win the Overall Championship Trophy in South Zone competition. Tamil Nadu has a good chance of getting more medals in the national events if the athletes can improve the performances to national level.
